Moments from July in Cornwall 🌅🌊🚐🦮👙 When we moved Moments from July in Cornwall 🌅🌊🚐🦮👙 When we moved back to the UK from living abroad for years, there was one thing that we knew we would miss. The ability to travel and explore - a non negotiable item on our list for living at home happily, was to get another campervan (we had one in 2019 but sold it and regretted that ever since). It is the one thing we own that makes exploring, even in our own backyard easy and affordable! Cornwall is bursting at the seams with the most breath taking scenery, and I’m so grateful we’ve been able to experience it this year in our van. Thankfully it’s been the one location where it’s actually cooler in temp than everywhere else! Never thought that would be a problem in the UK - too many heatwaves 😅 We loved exploring Crantock and the Lizard Peninsula. Two of my favourite places now. Happy days 😍
Add this beach to your Cornwall itinerary now! 🏖️ Add this beach to your Cornwall itinerary now! 🏖️ Easily one the best beaches for views in Cornwall, it’s so beautiful it was recently used as a filming location for scenes with Dumbledore in the new Harry Potter HBO series. The beach is tide dependant so you have to make sure that you come at low tide, this way you can access the most magical part which is normally under water. Towering rocks crop out of the sand giving you the most unreal scenery. With turquoise water and a cafe with the most beautiful views, you don’t want to miss out on visiting here if you are coming to Cornwall. The beach is dog friendly before 10am in the summer and the car park is National Trust - so if you have membership it’s free! Access from the car park is via steeps steps and is also tide dependant, there are two ways to go depending on which tide you visit on. Edinburgh is easily one of my favourite cities to Edinburgh is easily one of my favourite cities to visit, and this trip reminded me exactly why. We visited in May over a few days (yes, the weather was great - we have the heatwaves to thank for that), here’s everything we got up to: 🏛️ We headed up Calton Hill for some of the best panoramic views across Edinburgh. It’s the perfect spot to take in the skyline, and there’s even a lovely alfresco bar if you fancy a drink with a view. 👣 One of our favourite walks was following the Water of Leith Walkway to Dean Village. It’s such a peaceful little corner of the city, with beautiful medieval-style buildings right by the river. 🌺 We spent a morning exploring @rbgedinburgh, one of the most stunning free attractions in Edinburgh. The gardens are huge, filled with incredible flowers and make a perfect picnic spot. We also stopped at the main restaurant, which has gorgeous views over the gardens from its terrace. 🏰 We planned to spend just a couple of hours at @edinburghcastle... but somehow ended up there all day! There’s so much history to discover, so definitely grab the audio guide. You can even stop for afternoon tea or a cocktail flight while you’re exploring. 🌳 We wandered through Princes Street Gardens, which has some of the best views of Edinburgh Castle and is a lovely place to slow down for a while. ⛰️ We also visited Holyrood Park to admire Arthur’s Seat. If you’re up for the climb, the views from the top at sunset are absolutely worth the effort. If you’re happy to venture a little beyond the city centre, we’d also recommend The Pitt by Granton Beach for container-style street food, cocktails, saunas and even a cold plunge in the sea. And for any Outlander fans, Craigmillar Castle is well worth a visit—it’s the filming location for Ardsmuir Prison. Without a doubt, one of my favourite UK city breaks, and I already can’t wait to go back. 🤍 #edinburgh #scotland #visitedinburgh #visitscotland
The most beautiful and unique theatre in the UK! 🎭 The most beautiful and unique theatre in the UK! 🎭 The Minack Theatre in Cornwall is one of the most incredible places to visit. Whether it’s because of the breath taking coastal views of Porthcurno or the history behind it. The alfresco theatre offers a plethora of performances throughout the season, including theatre, music and shows. The tiered seating made from carved stone in the cliff edge has an almost medieval feel to it, and is one of those bucket list places to visit! With the Agapanthus swaying in the ocean breeze revealing a glistening turquoise bay…what an actual dream ✨ Hands down one of my favourite places to visit in Cornwall 💦🐚🏝️🧜‍♀️🦭
