About

If watching is all you are ever gonna do, then you are gonna end up watching  your life go by without ya. Laverne, Hunchback of Notre Dame

I came up with the idea for Ever The Wanderer in 2013 whilst I was living in Banff National Park in Alberta, Canada. I was there on a working holiday visa and at a point in my life when I discovered that what I really wanted to do as a profession was to share my passion for travel and help others experience the world as I had. I started off making this blog and adding a few photos to Instagram to share with family and friends. Now it is a passion of mine to share with the whole world what I have learned along the way and show you how to achieve the same.

My love for travel started in 2006 when I was at University in the UK, I went on a month long backpacking trip around Bali and got hooked on the travel bug. Since then I have lived long term in 5 countries from the Northern to Southern Hemisphere, experiencing life as a local and adventured to far away exotic locations to fulfil my wanderlust.

Along my journey I have met some of the most incredible people and often get asked how we do it.  It is very easy to get caught up in life and forget to take the time to actually live. (if you read the quote at the beginning this may ring a bell, I am also a HUGE Disney fan) At age 20 I had just dipped my toes in to the travel life and now at age 32 I am still going.

I think we have all experienced that moment of doubt or fear that life is escaping us as we go about our daily business. I want to help ignite that fire within and spread my passion for what has ultimately shaped my life for the better.

This is my online space where I share my passion for all things travel and hope to inspire  you to live a life you dream of.

    1. Hey thanks for stopping by Ever The Wanderer. To fund our travels we work in each location. Its the most amazing way to travel, you live as a local really learning about the culture. If you want more info on getting visas we have a post dedicated to just that. Glad our blog has given you some inspiration, the world is there to be seen.

  1. What a beautiful blog! One of the prettiest I’ve seen! love the colors, beach photos, etc! Instant follow. I used to have this theme but the free version and I couldn’t make it look anywhere as nice as this (there weren’t any options or maybe I just couldn’t find them). Can I ask if you have an upgraded version? Just to know if I’m so silly that I didn’t manage to figure out the settings! 🙂

    1. Thank you so much. It took many hours of figuring out WordPress and several different design layouts until i figured out how it worked. It is the free option-using photographs is key i think to making it stand out especially on the header which is one big photo collage. You can edit it by changing the size of the photo you upload-mine is large so it takes up a lot of space. The widgets down the side also can be added really easily. One of my favourite options with some of the other layouts is the slider-it takes a while to figure out how to set it up but looks really professional.yours look fab too-i love the photography. Really eye catching! If you want any more advice (if you found this helpful) feel free to ask 🙂

Please feel free to leave comments and tell me about your travel experiences or if you want advice I will get back to you
