Perth is an up and coming Capital City undergoing extensive renovation to keep up with increasing demands for resources.
Drawing in more and more Australians each year thanks to the oil business, it has resulted in injections of funds to the area creating a city with one hell of a promising future. Rising interest in Perth will ensure that this metropolis of old school architecture and new found money will continue to prosper.
During our first afternoon in Perth we were joined by Ryan, owner of Two Feet and a Heartbeat Guided Walking Tours. Specialising in small group guided walking tours of some of the most interesting vantages in Perth-a must do activity for those new to Perth and wanting to experience a locals point of view.
Ryan met us outside of our hotel and led us on a fascinating tour of the city, strolling down back streets decorated in amazing street art from world renowned artists ensuring that even the darkest of places are lit up with beautiful colours. Perths’ cultural centres showcase the finest talents that Australia has to offer. Whilst we were visiting they were host to the Fringe World Festival, with a plethora of acts and activities this vibrant and funky city played host perfectly.
From sweetly hidden garden bars to historical stories this tour was one of the best ways that I could have experienced Perth for the first time.
This fun, relaxed and informative tour gave us insights into Perth that you cannot get from a travel guide book. Some cities are harder to get to know and Perth is one of them. If you find yourself in Perth-this tour has to be top of your list-you will not regret it!
TIP: Travel to Perth if you are looking for a young, relaxed city offering the perfect port for the outstanding Western Australian coast.
