Tales Of Staying In A Guest Ranch

Leaving the Okanagan Valley having experienced some of the finest weather on our road trip we made our way across some more deserted parts of Canada towards our next destination.  We decided to stay in a Guest Ranch in Knutsford (an extremely small town near Kamloops) to gain a unique authentic experience. Think open wide expanses of golden grassy fields, horses galloping freely and warm toasty fires in this wonderous escape.

After arriving to ever increasing windy weather our hostess was keen to get us out on the horses for an evening trail ride. We donned down jackets and cowboy boots ready to experience the autumnal countryside aboard some very friendly horses.

Warming up by the fire and enjoying dinner around a 10 person table filled with international students who come to work and play at the ranch made the evening an enjoyable and interesting night.

We left this dreamy ranch after a delicious hearty cooked breakfast and set off into cowboy country towards our next stop-Whistler.
